Analog Devices Again Defeats Trade Secret Theft Accusations

Analog Devices Inc. didn’t misappropriate confidential technology from development partner Analog Technologies Inc. because the company no longer had any obligation to keep that information secret, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday.

Analog Technologies sued Analog Devices in 2021 on allegations it improperly terminated a 2015 licensing deal that required Analog Devices not to share certain thermo-electric cooler controller technology obtained under a 2000 development deal.
