Amtrak and Railware Inc. have settled a lawsuit over patents related to a railway traffic-control system, according to a filing in New York federal court.
Less than two weeks after telling Judge Katherine Polk Failla they’d reached a settlement in principle, Railware and Amtrak—officially named the National Railroad Passenger Corp.—filed a stipulation of dismissal Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York that would end the dispute over US Patent Nos. 9,517,782, RE47,835, and RE49,115 without giving either side the option to renew the claims or counterclaims.
