Amazon says it has filed a federal lawsuit against 13 people and businesses for advertising, promoting and facilitating the sale of counterfeit luxury goods in Amazon’s store.
- Lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Washington state, says defendants worked in concert to sell counterfeit products and engage in false advertising
- One defendant was a member of Amazon’s Influencer Program but was removed from the program after Amazon detected counterfeiting activities, company says
