Amazon Faces Elasticsearch Trademark Infringement Suit (1)

Two Amazon web services are infringing Elasticsearch Inc.'s trademarks by using “Elasticsearch” in their names, a lawsuit filed in California federal court alleges.

“Amazon Elasticsearch Service” and “Open Distro for Elasticsearch” are likely to mislead consumers into thinking Elasticsearch sponsors or approves of the services, the company says in a lawsuit filed Sept. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
