Amazon Studios LLC’s crime TV series Cross didn’t violate a longtime New York radio host’s trademark for The Love Zone when it integrated a fictional R&B program of the same name into an episode, a federal judge ruled.
Maurice Watts, known as “The Voice,” failed to show that the clip deliberately misled viewers as to the source of the work, Judge J. Paul Oetken said for the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
