Amazon, Retailers Want Bang Energy Drink Patent Dispute Paused

Amazon.com Inc., Costco Wholesale Corp. and several retail giants selling Bang energy drinks told a Texas federal judge to pause a patent dispute until allegations against their supplier PepsiCo Inc. are resolved.

Amide Beverage Company LLC made similar infringement allegations against PepsiCo. and its customers, according to PepsiCo and 12 retailers’ motion filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. PepsiCo and the retailers said the stay would streamline proceedings by focusing on the allegations against the beverage brand.
