Amazon Infringes Message Delivery System Patents, Suit Says

Headwater Research LLC accused Amazon.com Inc. of infringing two message delivery system patents with its device and cloud messaging systems, according to a federal lawsuit.

The Amazon Device Messaging and Firebase Cloud Messaging systems infringe U.S. Patent Nos. 9,615,192 and 10,321,320, according to a complaint filed June 20 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. The ‘192 patent is titled “message link server with plural message delivery triggers,” and the ‘320 patent is titled “wireless network buffered message system.”
