Amazon Gets Canadian NPE’s Patent Suit Transferred to New Jersey

A federal judge in Virginia transferred a patent suit against two Amazon.com Inc. subsidiaries to New Jersey partly because the plaintiff was a newly minted non-practicing entity—a company formed to bring patent suits and negotiate settlement deals rather than making products based on the patented technology.
