Amazon and WWE Slam Alleged Counterfeiters in Series of Lawsuits

Amazon.com Inc. and World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. are taking to the legal arena to battle counterfeiters who they allege are selling inauthentic replicas of WWE’s title belts through Amazon.

In a series of joint lawsuits, Amazon and WWE sued 13 sellers for trademark and copyright infringement, as well as breach of Amazon’s seller contract, for selling belts that included commemorative WWE World Heavyweight, Universal, Intercontinental, United States and NXT Championship title belt designs.
