Amazon Accused of Infringing Xockets Cloud-Computing Patents

An Amazon.com Inc. unit had an in-depth meeting with an AI-hardware startup under the pretense of a potential acquisition before it copied the company’s patented technology, according to a pair of lawsuits filed Monday by Xockets Inc. in Austin, Texas.

Xockets pointed to a demonstration of its data-processing unit tech it presented at a 2015 conference attended by Amazon Web Services Inc. employees and “Deep Dive” meeting two years later where it shared technical information with AWS, which Xockets said had indicated “it was interested in acquiring Xockets.”
