Allied Van Lines Says Moving Website Infringes Trademarks

Allied Van Lines sued the owners of iMoving.com in Miami federal court for allegedly infringing its “iMove” website trademarks.

Allied told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Monday that it has operated iMove.com since 2003, a website where users can get information about the availability and costs of moving companies across the U.S. It owns a federal trademark registration for “iMove.com” covering a transport information website.

iMoving.com also provides resources for finding moving companies in the U.S. According to the complaint, iMoving’s similar name and services are likely to confuse consumers and infringe Allied’s trademarks. ...
