US District Judge Alan D. Albright, one of the busiest patent judges in the nation, lightened his caseload by one, recusing himself from an IBM Corp. patent infringement suit in Texas on Wednesday.
IBM sued Swiss company LzLabs GmbH in March 2022, accusing it of ripping off IBM’s mainframe system software and using the information to poach customers. The tech giant alleged LzLabs infringed five patents, stole trade secrets, and engaged in false advertising.
