Alacritech Can’t Revive Networking Patents At Federal Circuit

The Federal Circuit let stand U.S. Patent and Trademark Office tribunal decisions invalidating parts of four patents on networking technology that were challenged by companies like Intel Corp. and its customer, Dell Inc.

The appeals court, in two opinions Thursday, affirmed the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s conclusions, in a series of reviews, that claims in each of the Alacritech Inc. patents would have been obvious at the time of the invention.
