Two multinational law firms helped biotechnology and science companies cut out a New Jersey physician from being listed as an inventor on patents tied to cancer mutation detection technology, a recent lawsuit alleges.
Attorneys from Latham & Watkins LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP represented Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in patent litigation against Illumina Inc., and claimed to represent the interests of Monib Zirvi, according to the complaint filed in in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
