AIG Must Face Trademark Claims Again After 8th Cir. Reverses Win

AIG Inc. must face trademark infringement claims from a smaller insurance company with a similar name after the Eighth Circuit on Friday reversed AIG’s win in Missouri federal court.

The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said the trial court failed to properly evaluate AIG’s argument that AIG Agency Inc., a family-owned insurance brokerage, took an inexcusably long time to bring the infringement claim.
