AI Exec Must Face Trademark Claims in ‘Playground AI’ Lawsuit

Y-Combinator alum and Mighty Computing Inc. founder Suhail Doshi failed to escape a trademark infringement lawsuit over “Playground AI.”

Doshi’s communications with Playground AI LLC’s founder and social media posts about Mighty’s branding sufficiently support Playground AI’s allegations that he was personally involved in his company’s major strategy, branding, and marketing decisions, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Thursday order. The allegations give rise to a plausible basis for personal liability, District Judge Beth Labson Freeman said in denying his motion to dismiss.
