Agilent, Axion Nix Patent Trial, Pause Cases as They Near Deal

A federal judge canceled a jury trial set to begin Monday over Agilent Technologies Inc.’s claims that Axion BioSystems Inc.’s cell-analysis systems infringe two patents, pausing the case while the parties finalize a settlement.

Judge Christopher J. Burke on March 21 granted the parties’ request, filed earlier the same day in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, to cancel the trial and stay the case and a related March 2024 lawsuit pending a finalized deal.
