ADT Settles Blue Octagon Trademark Suit Against Amazon’s Ring

Home security company ADT Inc. settled its lawsuit accusing Amazon‘s Ring LLC of infringing its trademarked blue octagon symbol, with the smart home devices maker agreeing to change a product’s design.

ADT said it has used the blue octagon for decades in lawn signs and window stickers, which are displayed by its millions of security system customers as a “keep out” warning to burglars.
