Adidas AG filed a fraudulent bid to renew its RBK trademark registration and must turn over documents in an infringement case that would normally be protected under attorney-client privilege, a federal court has ruled.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon faulted Adidas for showing no evidence it put “RBK” stickers on sneaker box lids for any business purpose other than satisfying requirements to retain registration.
