Activision Must Face Jury Trial in Pro Wrestler’s Copyright Suit

Activision Blizzard Inc. must face a jury trial in a suit by pro wrestler Booker T. Huffman, who alleges a “Call of Duty” video game character rips off a character he developed, a Texas federal court said.

The damages he seeks under federal copyright laws are purely legal damages, entitling him to a jury trial, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said Tuesday.
