The mobile carriers and their subsidiaries infringed US Patent Nos. 8,737,333, 9,526,048, 9,999,097, 10,237,791, 11,044,053, and 11,252,641, according to separate complaints Acer filed Jan. 9 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Acer said it offered licenses to the mobile carriers for the use of the standard essential patents, which have been incorporated into wireless standards such as LTE and 5G.
