Two artists must pay Yuga Labs Inc. $7 million in attorneys fees on top of a $1.4 million trademark award for creating look-alike Bored Ape Yacht Club nonfungible tokens, a California federal judge ruled.
Ryder Ripps and Jeremy Cahen stipulated to a special master’s recommendation of the fee amount becoming the court’s judgment while reserving the right to appeal, according to an order Judge John F. Walter filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
