7-Eleven Chain Settles With Chicago Lawyer Who Picked Same Name

The Chicago attorney accused of improperly trading on the 7-Eleven convenience store chain’s goodwill and reputation reached a confidential settlement Tuesday to resolve trademark infringement allegations against her law firm, Seven Eleven Law Group LLC.

“The case was called for a status hearing and no parties appeared,” read a July 23 minute entry on the case’s electronic docket in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. “After the hearing, the parties filed a stipulation to dismiss without prejudice signed by all parties who have appeared in this matter.”
