6Sense Insights Inc. marketed its artificial intelligence-enabled business-to-business sales platform by using people’s names and other personally identifying data without informing or compensating them, a proposed right of publicity class action said.
The 6Sense website’s shows advertisements to entice users of its Revenue AI for Sales product to upgrade from free accounts to subscription plans while displaying “buying team” profiles of people listed in its database, according a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The profiles generally include potential B2B buyers’ names, contact information, job titles, and company affiliations, it said.
