Google LLC narrowed but couldn’t bring to a close a patent infringement suit it’s facing in New York over a system that allows YouTube users to control re-posting of their original content.
The tech titan convinced the Federal Circuit that a district judge in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York was right to axe as indefinite two out of the three patents asserted by Network-1 Technologies Inc., in the 12 -year-old case, and was also correct in finding a third patent wasn’t infringed by a version of Google’s Content-ID system called LSH.
