A federal judge in Delaware upheld 10x Genomics Inc.’s $31 million verdict win against NanoString Technologies Inc. and blocked sales of its GeoMx spatial-imaging products, but declined to increase the damages.
Judge Matthew F. Kennelly denied NanoString’s motion for judgments on invalidity, infringement, willfulness, and damages, and also rejected its alternative request of a new trial, according to an opinion issued Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. He also granted 10x a permanent injunction but denied its bid for enhanced damages because it didn’t show NanoString’s conduct was “egregious” or “done in bad faith.”
