Volvo Revamps Commercial Team as CEO Aims to Revive EV Sales

Volvo Car AB is reshaping its senior leadership, as the automaker’s new chief executive officer seeks to boost flagging electric-vehicle sales.

Erik Severinson, often touted as a potential successor to Chief Executive Officer Hakan Samuelsson, will become chief commercial officer, the Geely-owned company said Thursday. The move reinstates a role that had been scrapped by former CEO Jim Rowan less than a year ago.
