Vietnamese Maker Drops Challenge to U.S. Steel Duties

Vietnamese maker Ton Dong A Corp. dropped its legal challenge to a decision extending duties on Chinese steel to cover steel finished in Vietnam.

The Court of International Trade Dec. 18 granted Ton Dong A’s request to dismiss the case.

Imports of corrosion-resistant steel products China are subject to U.S. antidumping and countervailing duties. The steel is typically used in the manufacture of trucks and automobiles, appliances, agricultural equipment, and industrial equipment.
