Shipping disruptions around Venezuela should remain localized after the US operation to capture the country’s leader during a weekend raid included damage to a key Caracas seaport.
That’s among the initial takeaways from trade analysts including Judah Levine, head of research at Freightos, a cargo booking platform. He said the closure of La Guaira, Venezuela’s second-largest container port, will delay delivery of some cargo for importers and exporters.
