US Energy Chief Says China Tariff Hike Is Part of Negotiation

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright says China’s decision to raise tariffs on US goods to 125% shows the nations are in the midst of a negotiation, and he’s confident about where it will end.

“We are right in the midst of a negotiation. This is home territory for President Trump,” Wright said during an interview with Bloomberg Television. “We are in the midst of it right now, but I am optimistic about where we are going.”
