U.S. Producers Sue for Duties on Indian Hydraulic Pump Parts

U.S. manufacturers are suing for antidumping duties on imports from India of forged steel fluid end blocks, arguing to the U.S. Court of International Trade that the Commerce Department erroneously concluded these parts weren’t being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

The U.S. recently investigated FEBs from a number of countries, including India. These products are typically used in the manufacture or service of hydraulic pumps, such as those used in the oil and gas industry. The U.S. imported an estimated $44.4 million worth of FEBs from India in 2018, according to the Commerce Department.
