U.S. Must Revisit Duties on Chinese Hardwood Plywood

Antidumping duty rates on imports of hardwood plywood from China must be revisited, and possibly lowered, a federal court ruled June 3.

The U.S. in 2016 imported an estimated $1.12 billion of this plywood, used by the construction industry to produce wall panels, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and wood flooring. In 2018, the Trump administration imposed antidumping and countervailing duties on the imports.
