U.S.-India Officials to Tackle Medical Devices Dispute (1)

U.S. medical device prices could be a sticking point as Trump administration officials engage in trade talks with Indian officials this week after reportedly threatening to withdraw $5.6 billion in tariff benefits.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross had planned to visit New Delhi in person Feb. 14, but now will be participating remotely in the talks, the U.S.-India CEO Forum, and the Commercial Dialogue, according to a Commerce Department spokesman. Ross canceled the trip because of “inclement weather and logistical issues,” the spokesman said in a statement Feb. 13.
