The U.S. will continue imposing trade remedy duties on imports of certain solar panel roof mounts from China, after a federal trade court said that the Commerce Department reasonably determined the mounts fell within the scope of duties on Chinese aluminum extrusions.
The U.S. maintains antidumping and countervailing duties on imports from China of aluminum extrusions—simple metal parts that have been the subject of frequent litigation. Commerce determined that China Custom Manufacturing Inc.'s and Greentech Engineering LLC’s ROCK-IT 3.0 mountings fell within the scope of these duty orders.
