US President Donald Trump sent more letters to countries announcing updated tariff rates on Wednesday after Monday’s deadline extension to Aug. 1. That’s now the date from which the so-called “reciprocal” tariffs return to their higher rates for 56 trade partners, if they cannot negotiate a better deal. Trump on July 8 that there will be no change in the Aug. 1 deadline.
