Trump Says ‘Much Agreed to’ in Meeting With Chinese Officials

President Donald Trump said US and Chinese negotiators in Switzerland had “a very good meeting” in an effort to de-escalate their trade war.

“Many things discussed, much agreed to. A total reset negotiated in a friendly, but constructive, manner,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Saturday.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng are leading the negotiations in Geneva, the first publicized, in-person talks since Trump imposed 145% levies on China and Beijing retaliated with 125% levies on many American goods and new export controls on rare earth minerals.
