Indonesia to Buy 50 Boeing Jets in Trade Deal, Trump Says (2)

Indonesia will buy 50 Boeing Co. jets as part of a broader trade agreement, President Donald Trump said in a social media post on Tuesday.

Trump said the Indonesian order will include purchases of “many” Boeing 777 jets without disclosing the buyer.

The two countries struck a new agreement that will subject Indonesian goods to a 19% tariff while US exports will not be taxed. Boeing aircraft have featured prominently in trade negotiations spurred by Trump’s tariff broadsides, with countries touting or restructuring existing deals as well as striking new orders.
