The Supreme Court handed President Donald Trump a warning on Wednesday and the world more tariff uncertainty.

That was among the key takeaways from more than 2 1/2 hours of high-court debate that featured a grilling for the attorney arguing on behalf of Trump’s so-called reciprocal tariffs. The solicitor general faced skepticism not just from the three liberal justices but also from a few of the conservatives who are Trump appointees.
