Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Chen Chern-chyi and U.S. Assistant secretary of the Treasury for International Markets Mitchell Silk held initial talks on plans for joint overseas infrastructure investment, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs said in a Facebook post.
- Chen is currently in Washington, where on Friday he will participate in the first Taiwan-U.S. Economic Prosperity Partnership meeting, during which he is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on economic cooperation between the two sides, Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported
