Reeves Calls Off LSE Speech to Support Starmer Over Trump Threat

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves pulled out of a planned Monday-morning London Stock Exchange speech at late notice, with people familiar with the situation saying she will instead join Prime Minister Keir Starmer as he addresses Donald Trump’s threats over Greenland.

Reeves had been due to appear at the LSE at 8 a.m. UK time, to confront critics of the City’s capital markets and mark the introduction of new rules making it easier to raise public capital in the UK.
