Ramaco CEO Faults China Steel Dumping for Met-Coal Miners’ Woe

Ramaco Resources Inc.’s chief executive officer said Chinese steel dumping is hammering US miners as smelters around the world try to keep pace by demanding lower costs for metallurgical coal.

“The met coal business has been challenged for about a year and a half by China,” CEO Randall Atkins said Monday in a Bloomberg Television interview. That pressure helped drive a quarterly loss and a sales miss for Lexington, Kentucky-based Ramaco, he said.
