Prabowo Set to Attend BRICS Summit After Indonesia Joins Bloc

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is set to attend the BRICS summit next month in Brazil, marking his first meeting with the bloc since the Southeast Asian nation became a member this year, according to officials familiar with the matter.

The former general is expected to participate in the July 6–7 meeting, four officials said on condition of anonymity because the trip has not been publicly announced. Brazil is organizing a state visit for Prabowo after the summit, three of the officials said.
