Orange Juice Hits Exchange Limit, Coffee Rises on Brazil Tariffs

Orange juice and coffee futures climbed for a second straight day in New York on fears supplies will tighten in the US following President Donald Trump’s threat to impose a 50% tariff on Brazil, the world’s top exporter of both commodities.

Brazil is responsible for more than 70% of US juice imports, according to trade data compiled by research institute Insper Agro Global. For coffee, 30% of US imports last year have come from the South American nation.
