Norway Salmon Exports to US Drop as Tariffs Shift Market Flows

Norwegian salmon exports to the US dropped last month as tariffs on seafood from the Nordic country came into force, opening the door for more of the pink-fleshed fish from Canada and Scotland.

Sales of salmon to the US — the second biggest market for Norway behind Poland — dropped 15% by value in August from a year earlier, the Norwegian Seafood Council said Wednesday.
