New Zealand continues to explore options for new foreign trade deals, Trade Minister Todd McClay told a farming audience Thursday at the National Fieldays event.

“New Zealand will keep rolling out the welcome mat and keep trying to start these conversations to do more and more deals,” he said, without providing specific details or time lines. “We’ve got to keep doing that because if New Zealand is not standing up for the benefits of free trade, nobody else will.”
