More Canadian Airlines Halt Flights to Cuba Amid Fuel Shortage

Two more Canadian carriers, WestJet Airlines Ltd. and Transat AT Inc., announced temporary suspensions of service to Cuba due to aviation fuel shortages on the island.

Cuba warned airlines on Sunday they wouldn’t be able to refuel at its main airport in Havana for at least a month, starting this week. Air Canada, the northern nation’s flagship carrier, said Monday it was immediately halting flights to the Caribbean vacation destination as a result.
