Microsoft to Pay $2.98M to Settle Sanctions Violations, US Says

Microsoft Corporation has agreed to pay $2.98 million to settle apparent sanctions violations, the Treasury Department says in a statement.

  • The settlement amount reflects OFAC’s determination that Microsoft’s conduct was non-egregious and voluntarily self-disclosed, Treasury says
  • Alleged violations include sanctions related to Cuba, Iran, Syria, Russia
