Mexico Economy Grows in Line With Forecasts on Exports to US (1)

Mexico’s economy grew in line with expectations in the third quarter, supported by exports to the US and a recovery in the domestic services sector.

Latin America’s second-largest economy expanded 0.9% from the previous three months, slightly below the 1% growth outlined in preliminary data, the national statistics institute reported on Friday.

From the same period a year ago, the economy grew 4.3%, a tad more than the 4.2% expansion seen in early data released last month. The services sector grew 1.1% in a quarterly basis, while primary activities like agriculture expanded 2%.
