It’s Business as Usual at Iran’s Other Big Oil Export Terminal

Large numbers of oil tankers are still anchored off Iran’s oil export terminals at Assaluyeh, even as vessels have fled the anchorage at Kharg Island, further to the north.

At least 26 ships were visible off Assaluyeh in satellite imagery from Sentinel Hub as of Oct. 10. Most, if not all, of those ships are oil or chemicals tankers. That’s up slightly on the number seen in the area in late September.
