License applications for authorization to export agricultural commodities, medicine and medical devices to Iran and Sudan during 2010-2012 increased by 11.6 percent from the two previous years, according to a June 27 report from the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
The OFAC submitted the biennial report in accordance with Section 906(c) of the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000 (TSRA), which requires a licensing process for the exportation of agricultural commodities, medicine and medical devices to Iran and Sudan.
